Cavendish Beach Music Festival: Recognized for National Award [Posted Feb 27, 2013]

(Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, Canada) LOTTO MAX presents the Cavendish Beach Music Festival is pleased to share that they have been nominated for Festival of the Year by industry and Canadian Music Week. This prestigious award highlights the best of the best when it comes to festival entertainment in Canada!

Canadian Music Week awards are industry driven and we urge all partners and industry members to vote for us through the Canadian Music Week's website [www.cmw.net]. To vote, industry members must register with Canadian Music Week [free of charge] and through this registration will gain the opportunity, if eligible, to vote for all Canadian Music Week awards. The Cavendish Beach Music Festival urges industry to vote, not only to support this festival, but to support the Canadian Music Industry as a whole. 

This recognition goes to show that Prince Edward Island is more than capable of holding award worthy, world-class events,” said Minister of Tourism and Culture Robert Henderson. “We’ve worked very hard with a number of private sector partners over the years to improve and expand the signature products we offer potential visitors who consider making the Island their destination of choice. This recognition shows how well that hard work has paid off.” As the only Atlantic Canadian Festival of the Year nominee, Cavendish Beach Music Festival feels as though their hard work and dedication has allowed the festival going demographic to recognize the amount of quality entertainment resources available in Canada. 

2013, being the fifth [5] anniversary of the festival will feature world renowned artists such as Kenny Chesney, The Dixie Chicks, Little Big Town as well as Jason Blaine and Michelle Wright. In the coming weeks, the finalized festival line up will be announced! They will also be announcing more information regarding camping venues and shuttle services during the festival. Stay tuned! 

In recent years, the Cavendish Beach Music Festival received several industry accolades including nominations for Event of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association as well as the East Coast Music Awards in addition to being honoured as a Top 100 Event in North America by the American Bus Association. Cavendish Beach Music Festival is excited to add the nomination of 2012 Festival of the Year by Canadian Music Week  to that list.
